Rox 10, American Defenders 2

NASHUA - Brockton third baseman Phillip Cuadrado’s three-run homer in the sixth inning snapped a 2-2 tie and opened the flood gates for the Rox as they went on to defeat the American Defenders of New Hampshire 10-2 at Holman Stadium.

Cuadrado also doubled in the contest and finished with three hits and six RBIs. Rox center fielder Chris Valencia had a superb night at the plate, finishing 5-for-6 with three doubles and three runs scored.

Starter Fraser Robinson worked seven solid innings for Brockton as he allowed two earned runs on eight hits to get the win and improve his record to 7-3.

Defenders first baseman Jerod Edmondson went 2-for-5 on the night, knocking in a run and scoring a run. Both Edward Ovalle and

Matt Nandin had multiple hit nights for New Hampshire, both going

2-for-4.
