President is not acting presidential

President Barack Obama has been in office for the past nine months, and most Americans hoped that he would do a good job for our country.

I have to ask what has he accomplished during these nine months?

Our military leaders have asked for more troops in Afghanistan, and he waits for weeks and still no decision. The rate of unemployment continues to grow with no plan to correct this problem. The news out of the White House in the past few weeks is to bash Fox News, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the health insurance companies.

Finally, someone from the other media has asked why the White House is bashing Fox News. Respected Democrats are amazed at these comments about Fox News. They admit that many Democrats and independents watch Fox News and help to account for it being the highest-rated cable news network.

Is our president so thin-skinned that he will not accept critical comments?

He reminds me of the young kid at the baseball game who says that if you don’t play the game the way I want, then I will take the ball and bat and go home.

Now I expect a lot of comments against this letter. Many of the comments will be from the same people who describe themselves as progressive, liberal Democrats.

My wish is that our president will start to act presidential and not become another Nixon with an enemies list.
