Governor hands out Thanksgiving day staples at food bank

New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch helped give out Thanksgiving turkeys in Manchester.

He joined the New Hampshire Food Bank on Friday afternoon to hand out shopping bags of turkeys, potatoes, carrots, onions, cranberry sauce and other fixings. The food is being given to residents of the Elmwood Gardens apartment complex.

A number of food drives are going on throughout the state. Food drives led by students in Bedford, Concord, Milford and elsewhere are winding up this week.
