NH couple in 70s shot dead, likely murder-suicide

DERRY, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire couple in their 70s have been shot to death in an apparent murder-suicide.
Police say officers responding to an emergency call Sunday morning at a home in Derry found the two residents inside.
They say 76-year-old Claude Roberts was dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. They say his 73-year-old wife, Judith Roberts, was nearby and was suffering from a gunshot wound to her head.
Judith Roberts was taken to a hospital in Massachusetts. She died hours later.
Autopsies will be performed on the husband in New Hampshire and on the wife in Massachusetts.
New Hampshire Attorney General Michael A. Delaney and Derry police Chief Edward B. Garone say an investigation is ongoing.
