Police asking help over abduction attempt

NASHUA – Police are asking for information in connection with a reported attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl in the North End of the city Saturday night.

The girl told police she was walking west on Stark Street, east of Wellington, at about 8:30 p.m., when she was grabbed from behind by the sole occupant of a parked car, believed to be a male.

She said the person tried to force her into the back of the vehicle.

The girl said she managed to break free and described the car as boxy – perhaps a sport utility vehicle – with a leather interior.

Police said the only description she could give of the person who tried to grab her, was that he was a man wearing fleece gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Nashua Police Department, Youth Services Division at 594-3500.
