NAREA October New Member Installation

Nashua Area Retired Educators Association

Twelve new members were installed at the Autumn Professional Gathering of the Nashua Area Retired Educators Association held at the Nashua Country Club on October 21, 2009.

They are: Lois Ayer, Susan Bakaian, Dee Barry, Ann Breurger, Pauline Chervincky, Catherine Comes, Gail Donahue, Rosanne Empey, Susan Fehsinger, Marlene Grosky, Frank Hoell, Margaret Radziewicz.

Nashua Independent School District # 42 Superintendent, Marc Conrad, was the featured guest and addressed the group on matters of long-term development and strategies for area schools. He especially emphasized the diversity of the student population and its specialized needs.

Barbara Doyle, visiting President of the New Hampshire Retired Educators Association, updated the retired teachers present on matters of personal benefits, current pension legislation, and retirement board composition and function.

NAREA activities will resume on Wednesday, December 16 with Annual Holiday Festivities.
