The World Schools hosts 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day!

On Wednesday, October 14, 2009 The World Schools hosted their 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Staff and faculty at the school were asked to show their support for Breast Cancer awareness by donating $5 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure cause and wearing jeans and a pink article of clothing. Twenty-seven staff members participated in the day, as well as many parents who showed their support by purchasing a pink bracelet or by donating to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

This “Passionately Pink” day helped raise over $188 for the Cure that will go directly to fighting breast cancer with research and community-based education, screening and treatment programs.
